8" Ship's Bell

Designed to capture the rich tradition of function and quality inherent in fine boats. Whether your boat is for work or pleasure, this bell will complement the craftsmanship and attention to detail that is the hallmark of well-built workboats and yachts alike.

Your bell will include the name of your boat in cast raised letters, two wall plates for the slip bracket (so the bell can be stowed below decks or used in an alternate location), and a special braided lanyard made by Tim Whitten of Marlinespike.com. The bell and included hardware is cast in silicon bronze, an alloy that weathers very well in the marine environment and gives a loud, clear tone. This bell also satisfies Coast Guard regulations for boats under 20 meters in length.

The bell can be ordered either polished bright or with a deep antique brown patina as shown in our pictures. Once on your boat, however, it will change in a matter of weeks to the familiar green seen on most outdoor bronze unless it is frequently polished or waxed. This is a natural weathering process that does not harm the bell or affect the tone.
